Nikolaus Gruenwald found himself in the legal profession while passionately taking photographs on the side. But over time, his talents overtook the comfort and convenience of a predictable career.
So he jumped ship and dove head first into photography. The outcome was spectacular.

At the beginning of his career Nikolaus was mainly focused on land- and cityscapes, but his curiosity and passion in photography made him try out all sorts of people photography. Today his work covers a broad range, starting with fashion and beauty, going on with advertising and a keen eye for architecture, an affection for documentation and ending with a variety of personal projects that have brought about international recognition.
